RACLET A history rooted in adventure since 1919!

The story of RACLET began when Charles Raclet founded the eponymous company in 1919. At the time, the company specialised in the manufacture of heavy canvas. Twenty years later, the rise of paid holidays and growing enthusiasm for camping gave the company a new lease of life. It quickly expanded by offering tent fabrics, as well as rucksacks and sleeping bags.

RACLET established itself as a key player in the camping world with an iconic product: the ‘Canadienne’ cotton tent. This was developed based on a constant desire to innovate and offer robust, practical equipment that met the needs of campers.
